Because participants are not yet enrolled in a degree programme, the usual "semester contribution" line from a normal university profile does not apply here in the same form.

Even though there is no tuition to pay at this stage, proof of funds is still required once a place is held — typically around 11,904 EUR for the year in a blocked account, and that transfer needs to happen well before registration.

Academy HERE AHEAD does not publish Bachelor's or Master's deadlines, since it is not a degree programme — its intake dates govern entry into :prime or :here studies, not into a university course. Deadlines are set by the Academy directly, separately for each track, rather than through uni-assist or a central application portal.

Academy HERE AHEAD does not award degrees and has no English-taught programme catalogue of its own: its purpose is to bring participants to German C1 and prepare them for the Feststellungsprüfung, so instruction is conducted in German throughout. If you go on to a Bachelor's programme at one of Bremen's public universities afterwards, that university's own English-taught catalogue and language rules apply from that point, not the Academy's.

Admission to Academy HERE AHEAD is assessed on German language level, not an English test score, because the programme and the Feststellungsprüfung are conducted in German. There is no waiver route here based on an English-taught foreign degree.

Academy HERE AHEAD does not run on a standard German university semester and lecture calendar of its own; its course cycles for :prime and :here studies are set by the Academy separately from the host universities' semester dates.

Academy HERE AHEAD is a joint access-and-preparation institution run cooperatively by Bremen's public higher education institutions, based on the University of Bremen campus and organisationally attached to the university, with a move to the Forum am Domshof site in Bremen's city centre under way. It does not award degrees itself: through :prime it prepares non-EU applicants who have received a Studienkolleg recommendation for German up to C1 and for the Feststellungsprüfung, the exam that opens a Bachelor's place at any of Bremen's public institutions, and a parallel :here studies track supports applicants with a refugee background.

Since 2016, more than 455 participants have completed one of the two tracks. For a non-EU applicant whose secondary certificate is not directly recognised for German higher education, HERE AHEAD functions as Bremen's own equivalent of a Studienkolleg, and its Feststellungsprüfung is explicitly valid across all of Bremen's public higher education institutions.
