Brand University is a private university financed by tuition fees, and students from outside the EU pay a higher rate than EU students. For the Bachelor's programmes, non-EU students pay 890 EUR per month plus a one-off matriculation fee of 2,300 EUR and an examination fee of 200 EUR, 34,540 EUR in total. For the Master's programme, Brand Innovation (M.A.), they pay 1,140 EUR per month plus 1,150 EUR in one-off enrolment and examination fees, 21,670 EUR in total. EU students pay 495 EUR per month (Bachelor) and 745 EUR per month (Master).

The university does not publish a semester contribution on its fee page; the fees are described as covering all costs, with no hidden costs.

Tuition fees come on top of the proof of funds. For the student visa you still need to show 11,904 EUR for the year, usually in a blocked account, and that money has to be transferred months before the semester starts.

Brand University sets its earlier deadline by visa requirement rather than EU status: applicants who need an entry visa for Germany apply by 30 June and 15 December; applicants who do not need a visa have until 15 September and 15 March. The Brand Innovation (M.A.) programme page lists an October start; check whether it also admits in the summer semester.

Brand University offers 1 on-campus degree programme taught in English, at Master's level: Brand Innovation (M.A.) on the Hamburg campus. The on-campus Bachelor's programmes in Brand & Marketing Management and Brand & Communication Design require German at level B2.

Brand University of Applied Sciences is a private, state-recognised university of applied sciences in Hamburg, founded in 2010, with 259 students. Its campus is in central Hamburg, near the main railway station. It offers Bachelor's and Master's programmes in brand management, marketing and communication design, on campus and by distance learning.
