How much does Deggendorf Institute of Technology cost for international students?
DIT is a public university and charges no tuition fees as such. Students from outside the EU/EEA, however, pay a DIT semester fee of 500 EUR per semester once enrolled, plus an application fee of 50 EUR for each programme they apply to. The university uses these fees to fund services for international students.
Every student also pays the student union fee of 72 EUR per semester for the Studierendenwerk. It does not include a semester ticket, so the Deutschlandticket has to be bought separately.
| Item | Cost for international students |
|---|---|
| Bachelor and Master, EU/EEA students | No tuition or semester fee |
| Bachelor and Master, non-EU students | 500 EUR DIT semester fee per semester |
| Application fee, non-EU applicants | 50 EUR per programme applied to |
| Student union fee (everyone) | 72 EUR per semester |
The DIT semester fee comes on top of the proof of funds. For the student visa you still need to show 11,904 EUR for the year, usually in a blocked account, and that money has to be transferred months before the semester starts.
What are the application deadlines?
| Degree | Intake | Application period |

All applicants, including international ones, apply directly through DIT's own Primuss portal, without uni-assist.
