DHfPG is a private, state-recognised university and charges monthly tuition. Bachelor's programmes cost 390 EUR per month (420 EUR for Sport and Exercise Therapy) over 42 months for contracts from 1 July 2026; the training company usually pays them. Master's programmes and the MBA cost 440 EUR per month over 24 months, 10,560 EUR in total, for contracts from 1 June 2026. | Item | Cost for international students |
|---|---|
| Bachelor (7 semesters, 42 months) | 390 EUR per month (420 EUR Sport and Exercise Therapy), usually paid by the training company |
| Master and MBA (24 months) | 440 EUR per month, 10,560 EUR in total |
| Master, extended payment plan | 195 EUR per month over 49 months, 9,555 EUR in total |
A German student visa requires a degree programme that has to be studied in Germany, and programmes that can be completed online generally do not qualify (Administrative Court Berlin, 28 November 2025, 11 K 175/25); at DHfPG the taught days can also be attended online. If you do come to Germany on a student visa, you need proof of funds of 11,904 EUR for the year, usually in a blocked account.
What are the application deadlines?
| Degree | Intake | Deadline |
|---|---|---|
| Bachelor and Master | Any time | No deadline |
| Applicants without a standard school-leaving qualification | Twice a year | 1 January or 1 July |
One rule applies to all applicants. Bachelor's applicants need a training contract with a company and a cooperation agreement between the company and DHfPG; the company can be abroad. Foreign certificates are checked against ZAB assessments, and DHfPG recommends having them checked before applying.
How many programmes are taught in English?
None. DHfPG offers 7 Bachelor's and 5 Master's programmes (including an MBA) in prevention, fitness, sport, nutrition and health management, all described in German. DHfPG does not state a required German level for applicants with foreign certificates, so check this with the university before you apply.

It has 6,179 students. It offers dual Bachelor's and Master's programmes in prevention, fitness, sport and health management, combining distance study with taught days at study centres in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
