How much does Cooperative State University Schleswig-Holstein (DHSH) cost for international students?
DHSH is a private university. Its tuition is normally paid by the student's partner company, so students usually pay no tuition themselves. This applies to EU and non-EU students alike. DHSH does not publish a current tuition amount or a semester contribution, so check both with DHSH and your partner company before you sign.
| Item | Cost for international students |
|---|---|
| Tuition (dual Bachelor's programmes) | Usually paid by the partner company |
Your partner company covering tuition does not remove the visa's proof-of-funds requirement. For the student visa you still need to show 11,904 EUR for the year, usually in a blocked account.
What are the application deadlines?
| Degree | Intake | Deadline |
|---|---|---|
| Dual Bachelor's programmes (Business Administration, Business Informatics, Software Engineering, Social Work) | Winter only (start 1 October) | No fixed deadline; set by each partner company |
DHSH has no central application deadline: you apply to one of its partner companies, and once you have a contract you enrol at DHSH. Partner companies often advertise places up to a year in advance, so if you need a visa, start early. The part-time Master's in Digital Business & Innovation is being revised and will not start in 2027.
How many programmes are taught in English?
None. Teaching at DHSH is mainly in German, and the work phases at the partner company are in German too. All four Bachelor's programmes are dual, so you need a training contract with a German partner company before you can enrol and apply for your visa.
About Cooperative State University Schleswig-Holstein (DHSH)
The Cooperative State University Schleswig-Holstein (Duale Hochschule Schleswig-Holstein, DHSH) is a private, state-recognised university of applied sciences, recognised by the state in 2018 and run by the Wirtschaftsakademie Schleswig-Holstein. It had 607 students in 2026 across three locations in Kiel, Lübeck and Flensburg, and offers dual Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Software Engineering and Social Work.
All DHSH programmes require a contract with a partner company in Germany. International applicants can take part, but they need to secure that contract before applying for their visa.
