How much does Fliedner University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf cost for international students?
Fliedner is a private, state-recognised university, so it charges tuition for every programme. Fees are paid monthly, are fixed for the whole standard study period and rise by 2% at the start of each winter semester; exam and registration fees are included. No separate rates for non-EU students are published.

Fliedner admits on a rolling basis: you apply online through the university's own portal (uni-assist is not used), your documents are checked, and you are invited to an admission interview; there is no numerus clausus. Some programmes also start on 1 April, so check the programme page. If you need a visa, apply several months before the start and confirm the timing with the Campus Office (campus-office@fliedner-fachhochschule.de).
How many programmes are taught in English?
None. All Fliedner programmes are taught in German. The university does not publish a German level for degree applicants, so ask the Campus Office (campus-office@fliedner-fachhochschule.de) which certificate and level you need before applying. Fliedner offers Bachelor's programmes in social work, childhood education, physician assistance, nursing and midwifery, and Master's programmes in social work, supervision, health-professions education, physician assistance and social and health management.
About Fliedner University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf
Fliedner University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf (Fliedner Fachhochschule) is a private, non-profit, state-recognised university of applied sciences in Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth, North Rhine-Westphalia, in the tradition of the Kaiserswerther Diakonie. It was founded in 2011, has 2,080 students, and offers Bachelor's and Master's programmes in health, nursing, midwifery, physician assistance, social work and education.
Only three programmes are suitable for a student visa: Social Work (B.A.) full-time, Physician Assistance (B.Sc.) and Childhood Education (B.A.) VollzeitPlus. In the VollzeitPlus model you attend classes on two days a week and spend at least 200 hours per semester in practice placements. The dual programmes require an employment contract with a partner institution, and all Master's programmes are part-time alongside work, so they are not routes to a student visa.
