How much does Gisma University of Applied Sciences cost for international students?

Gisma is a private, state-recognised university and charges tuition for every programme, the same for EU and non-EU students. The fee is all-inclusive: it covers application, enrolment, exam and thesis fees, so there is no separate application fee and no semester contribution. Fees can be spread over up to ten instalments.

ItemCost for international students
Bachelor's (3 years)13,825 EUR per year
Master's, 60 ECTS (1 year)16,250 EUR in total
Master's, 90 ECTS (1.5 years)19,200 EUR in total
Master's, 120 ECTS (2 years)25,100 EUR in total
Global MBA (1 year)22,500 EUR in total
Deposit after admission (deducted from the fee)1,500 EUR for most international students; 3,000 EUR for some Master's programmes and countries

Some Bachelor's students from certain countries must pay a full year's tuition upfront instead of a deposit; confirm your amount with Gisma before you accept the offer. Fees are for 2026 intakes.

Tuition fees come on top of the proof of funds. For the student visa you still need to show 11,904 EUR for the year, usually in a blocked account, and that money has to be transferred months before the semester starts.

What are the application deadlines?

DegreeIntakeDeadline
Bachelor's and Master'sJanuary, April, July or OctoberNo fixed deadline

Gisma publishes no application deadline, and admission is rolling; you can apply before you have your English certificate or final transcript. After an offer, a deposit secures your place. Gisma says the visa takes 2 to 3 months depending on your home country, so if you need a visa, apply at least four to six months before your intake and confirm the timing with admissions.

How many programmes are taught in English?

All 11 degree programmes are taught in English. Bachelor's: Business Management (with specialisations in finance, human resources, marketing, logistics and entrepreneurship), International Business Management (also as a double degree with Kingston University London), Software Engineering, Computer Science, and Data Science, AI and Digital Business. Master's: Business Management (with several specialisations), International Business Management (also as a double degree), Data Science, AI and Digital Business, Digital Transformation Leadership, Computer Science (Master of Engineering) and the Global MBA. Further programmes are still subject to accreditation. You need English at B2 (for example IELTS 6.0); Gisma also offers its own free English test.

Study is hybrid: in-person phases on the Potsdam or Berlin campus plus e-learning. Some programmes allow you to start online and move to campus later, but only on-campus study in Germany supports a student visa.
