How much does Hamburg University of Music and Theatre cost for international students?
HfMT Hamburg charges no tuition fees for its regular Bachelor's and Master's programmes; its list of fee-charging programmes covers only specific programmes. The Master in Music Therapy charges about 9,250 EUR in total for therapy instruction and supervision; HfMT gives no year for this figure, so confirm it before you apply. The concert exam (Konzertexamen) costs 375 EUR per semester, rising to 600 EUR per semester from winter 2026/27, and the continuing-education programme New Composition Techniques costs 550 EUR per semester from winter 2026/27. The distance Master in Culture and Media Management and the Eventim Pop Course are also fee-charging; check the amounts with HfMT.
Every student pays the semester contribution of 399.80 EUR for winter 2026/27. Of that, 226.80 EUR is the Deutschland-Semesterticket, which covers public transport across Germany.
