How much does Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSBI) cost for international students?

HSBI charges no tuition for international students, who pay the same semester contribution as everyone else. Part-time continuing-education Master's programmes are the exception and charge a study programme contribution of 1,250 to 2,000 EUR per semester.

The semester contribution depends on the campus: 338.05 EUR in Bielefeld, 336.80 EUR in Minden and 230.80 EUR in Gütersloh for summer 2026. In each case 208.80 EUR of it is the Deutschlandticket for students. Some programmes add a fee for materials, so the total for a single programme can reach 462.80 EUR. Gütersloh is lower because it excludes the Studierendenwerk social contribution and the local flowBie ticket.
