How much does HSD University of Applied Sciences cost for international students?
HSD is a private, state-recognised university and charges tuition, paid monthly. The English-taught Bachelor in Psychology costs 599 EUR per month, 21,564 EUR over 36 months, and the English-taught Master in Psychology 699 EUR per month, which HSD states includes all fees for the degree programme. Paying per semester or in full brings a discount of 3% or 4%. HSD gives no validity year for these fees, so confirm them for your start date.
HSD does not publish a semester contribution or other one-off fees for the Bachelor's; ask HSD before you enrol.

Tuition fees come on top of the proof of funds. For the student visa you still need to show 11,904 EUR for the year, usually in a blocked account, and that money has to be transferred months before the semester starts.

HSD publishes no application deadline and no separate date for non-EU applicants, so admission is rolling. If you need a visa, apply as early as possible and confirm the latest date for your intake with HSD. Foreign school certificates are recognised by the responsible authority in Brandenburg.
How many programmes are taught in English?
Two programmes, both in Potsdam:
- Psychology (B.Sc.)
- Psychology (M.Sc.)
The Master in Psychology is taught in German in Cologne and Regensburg and in English in Potsdam. Other programmes are taught in German; HSD asks for German (B2) or English (B2) depending on the programme.
