How much does HTW Dresden – University of Applied Sciences cost for international students?
HTW Dresden states that it charges no tuition fees, only a semester fee. Second-degree or long-term study fees may apply in special cases: under the university's fee regulation of 18 December 2023, a second degree costs 300 EUR per semester and long-term study 500 EUR per semester. A bill to charge non-EU students 1,500 EUR per semester at Saxony's public universities had not been put to a vote as of October 2026.
Every full-time student pays the semester contribution of 364.03 EUR for winter 2026/27. Of that, 226.80 EUR is the Deutschland-Semesterticket, which covers public transport across Germany.
| Item | Cost for international students |

No tuition does not mean no proof of funds. For the student visa you still need to show 11,904 EUR for the year, usually in a blocked account, and that money has to be transferred months before the semester starts.
