How much does HTWG Konstanz – University of Applied Sciences cost for international students?
HTWG Konstanz charges non-EU students 1,500 EUR per semester, as all state universities in Baden-Württemberg do; EU/EEA nationals pay no tuition. Exemptions apply, for example to students who obtained their school-leaving qualification in Germany (not at a Studienkolleg), holders of a residence permit on humanitarian or family grounds and holders of a settlement permit. Anyone starting a second degree pays 650 EUR per semester instead.
On top of this, every student pays the semester contribution of 207.50 EUR: administration fee 80 EUR, Studierendenwerk 112.50 EUR and student body 15 EUR. It does not include a Deutschlandticket. HTWG's form does not name the semester, so confirm the current amount.
| Item | Cost for international students |
|---|---|
| Tuition fee (non-EU) | 1,500 EUR per semester |
| Second-degree fee | 650 EUR per semester |
| Semester contribution (everyone) | 207.50 EUR per semester |
| Deutschlandticket | Not included |
Tuition fees come on top of the proof of funds. For the student visa you still need to show 11,904 EUR for the year, usually in a blocked account, and that money has to be transferred months before the semester starts.
What are the application deadlines?
| Degree | Intake | Deadline (non-EU) |
|---|---|---|
| Bachelor | Winter / Summer | 15 July / 15 January |
| Master (including International Management Asia-Europe) | Winter | 1 June |
| Master | Summer | 1 December |
Applications go through HTWG's own system, and the deadlines are binding: documents must arrive by that date. Only one date is published, and it applies to all applicants. HTWG's admissions FAQ also describes the winter Master's application window as running to 1 July; the table shows the earlier, binding date, so confirm the date for your programme. Applicants from a Studienkolleg must submit the verification of their Studienkolleg diploma before the deadline.
How many programmes are taught in English?

- International Management Asia-Europe (M.A.)
- Applied AI Transformation Management (M.Eng.)
