International University SDI München is a private, state-recognized university, so unlike a public university it charges tuition fees to every student. There is no distinction between EU and non-EU applicants: the fee is set per programme and applies equally regardless of nationality.

Fees range from about 2,490 EUR to 3,840 EUR per semester depending on the programme and degree level.

Paying private tuition does not remove the proof-of-funds requirement either. For the student visa you still need to show about 11,904 EUR for the year, usually in a blocked account, and that money has to be transferred months before the semester starts.

For qualifying non-EU applicants, SDI states that applications can be submitted via uni-assist until 15 October of the respective intake year. SDI strongly recommends applying as early as possible because uni-assist processing can take several weeks and visa processing requires additional lead time.
