IPU Berlin is a state-recognised private university and charges tuition fees. For the English-taught MA Psychology track the fee is 1,130 EUR per month, 6,500 EUR per semester, or 24,800 EUR for the full programme when paid in advance. A one-off enrolment fee of 80 EUR applies. IPU gives no validity year for the tuition amounts, so confirm them for your start date.

Students also pay a semester contribution of 331.80 EUR for winter 2026/27: 208.80 EUR for the semester ticket, 113.00 EUR for the Studierendenwerk and 10.00 EUR for student self-administration.

Tuition fees come on top of the proof of funds. For the student visa you still need to show 11,904 EUR for the year, usually in a blocked account, and that money has to be transferred months before the semester starts.

Only one general date is published, and it applies to all applicants. Applicants with foreign qualifications have them checked through uni-assist, which can take up to four weeks. IPU warns that this feedback may arrive too late for enrolment, in particular for non-EU nationals, so apply well before the deadline and email admissions@ipu-berlin.de if you are unsure about timing.
