The university's costs page for international students states: "You do not have to pay any tuition fees in Rheinland-Pfalz." The exception is the English-taught Innovations Management MBA, a part-time online programme that costs 2,100 EUR per semester (8,400 EUR in total). Because it is studied online and part-time, it generally does not qualify for a German student visa.

Every student pays a semester contribution, made up of the Studierendenwerk fee, the student body fee and, in Kaiserslautern and Pirmasens, the Deutschland-Semesterticket. Students at the Zweibrücken campus get no semester ticket and pay less.

For your visa you also need proof of funds of 11,904 EUR for the year (2026), usually in a blocked account.

The university publishes one set of dates and states that there are no special deadlines for foreign applicants. Some programmes with specific entry requirements have earlier deadlines, listed on each programme page. Applicants with foreign qualifications apply through uni-assist.

Five Master's programmes are taught in English:

• International Management and Finance (Master)
• Refinement and Sustainability of Polymer and Composite Products (Master)
• Innovations Management (MBA, part-time online, fee-based; generally not eligible for a student visa)

Three Bachelor's programmes are offered in English or German: Mechanical Engineering, Leather and Textile Engineering, and International Business Administration.

Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences is a public university in Rhineland-Palatinate, founded in its current form in 1996 and with 5,411 students (winter 2023/24). It teaches in Kaiserslautern, Zweibrücken and Pirmasens, with subjects in engineering, computer science, business, building and design, and applied life sciences.
