How much does Koblenz University of Applied Sciences cost for international students?
Koblenz University of Applied Sciences charges no tuition fees for its regular degree programmes. Fees apply only to part-time continuing-education and distance programmes taught in German, such as the Master Kindheits- und Sozialwissenschaften (1,650 EUR per semester) and the MBA programmes at the RheinAhrCampus in Remagen. These programmes are generally not suitable for a student visa.
Every student pays a semester contribution, which includes the Deutschland-Semesterticket. From winter 2026/27 the Studierendenwerk Koblenz raises its contribution by 15 EUR and the semester ticket rises by 18 EUR per semester. Students at the Remagen campus pay a small extra charge for the Linz-Kripp ferry.
For your visa you also need proof of funds of 11,904 EUR for the year (2026), usually in a blocked account.
What are the application deadlines?
| Degree | Intake | Deadline (foreign qualification) |
|---|---|---|
| Management, Leadership, Innovation (M.A., English) | Winter / summer | 15 June / 15 December |
| Marketing and International Business (B.Sc., English) | Winter / summer | 15 June / 15 December |
Applicants with a foreign school-leaving or university qualification apply through uni-assist and have earlier deadlines than applicants with German qualifications (15 July / 15 January for these two programmes). The difference depends on where the qualification was obtained, not on nationality. Deadlines for other programmes are published on each programme page.
How many programmes are taught in English?
Two programmes are taught fully in English:
- Management, Leadership, Innovation (M.A., Remagen)
- Marketing and International Business (B.Sc., Koblenz)
Several programmes are taught in German and English: Applied Physics (M.Sc.), Applied Mathematics (M.Sc.), Management, Leadership, Innovation (B.A.) and Sustainable Transformation Management (B.A., first two semesters in German when starting in Koblenz, then English).
