How much does Medical School Berlin – University of Health and Medicine (MSB) cost for international students?
MSB is a state-recognised private university and charges monthly tuition fees, set per programme. There is no separate rate for non-EU students.

Full-time students must buy the Berlin semester ticket. Confirm the current fees for your programme with MSB.
Tuition fees come on top of the proof of funds. For your visa you also need 11,904 EUR for the year (2026, Federal Foreign Office), usually in a blocked account.

MSB accepts applications at any time, and admission is rolling until the course is full, so apply early. If your school or university certificate is from outside Germany, you first need a preliminary review documentation (VPD) from uni-assist, which takes about 4 to 6 weeks. Then you apply to MSB with your VPD. If you need a student visa, allow several months for the visa process.
How many programmes are taught in English?
MSB offers 4 English-taught programmes:
- Cognitive Neuroscience (M.Sc.), English B2 required
- Social Work (B.A.), taught in English, German C1 also required
- Social Work (M.A.), taught in English, German C1 needed before the final semester
- Health Economy (B.Sc.), first intake October 2027
The Digital Health Management M.Sc. is also taught in English, but it is mostly online, with only a few campus weekends per semester, so it is not suitable for a student visa. All other programmes, including Psychology and Human Medicine, are taught in German and require German at TestDaF level 4 or DSH-2.
