Baden-Württemberg universities charge EUR 1,500 per semester to international students who are not EU/EEA citizens and do not have a German higher-education entrance qualification, subject to statutory exemptions. This state fee applies to liable students in regular degree programmes. Programme-specific tuition must still be checked: the MBA International Management publishes EUR 4,600 per semester from the winter 2026/27 intake.

For enrolment, the university currently lists EUR 112 Student Union Fee, EUR 80 Administration Fee and EUR 15 Student Body Fee: EUR 207 per semester in total. A further EUR 20 Student ID fee applies if no current ID card is available, making the first-semester payment EUR 227 in that case. These contributions are separate from tuition.

The semester contribution and, for non-EU applicants, the EUR 1,500 state tuition fee do not replace the proof-of-funds requirement. For the student visa you still need to show about EUR 11,904 for the year, usually in a blocked account, and that money has to be transferred months before the semester starts.

For this guide's non-EU audience, Pforzheim University's international application-procedure page is more specific than the general Bachelor deadline page. It states that foreign/stateless prospective students with a higher-education entrance qualification obtained abroad (except EU citizens) apply via the university portal by 31 May for the winter semester or 30 November for the summer semester. The general Bachelor page lists later deadlines for other applicant groups, so those dates should not be presented as the main non-EU deadline. Master deadlines vary by programme.

Restricted-admission programmes may also use Hochschulstart/DoSV. The university's enrolment page instructs admitted applicants in restricted programmes to confirm the offer on hochschulstart.de before online enrolment in the Pforzheim portal.

Master deadlines are programme-specific. Examples for winter 2026/27: Corporate Communication Management and Digital Business Management list 15 June; MBA International Management lists 15 June when a visa is needed (31 July without a visa) for September entry, and 15 December when a visa is needed (31 January without a visa) for March entry.

Apply through Pforzheim University's own applicant portal, not uni-assist. For non-EU Bachelor applicants with a foreign higher-education entrance qualification, the university checks eligibility after documents are uploaded; certificates may also be submitted to the Center for International Students in Konstanz for recognition. Restricted-admission programmes can additionally involve Hochschulstart/DoSV.

There is no university-wide application handling fee; the MBA International Management explicitly charges none. 7 degree programmes meet this guide's strict 'fully English-taught' definition: BBA International Marketing; BBA Digital Business Management; M.Sc. Corporate Communication Management; M.Sc. Digital Business Management; MBA International Management; M.A. Transportation Design; and M.A. Design & Future Making. International Business is excluded because the official programme page requires study in English plus French or Spanish (and optional German); M.A. Jewellery is excluded because the Design School describes it as 'mostly' English, not fully English.

English requirements are programme-specific — there is no single university-wide score threshold. Examples: BBA Digital Business Management requires B2 and publishes TOEFL iBT 72, IELTS 5.5, Cambridge B2 First (minimum 162)/C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency, TOEIC 550, or English-speaking nationality as equivalent. The Design School's English programmes require TOEFL 90 (or 570 paper / 235 computer) and recognise IELTS, TOEIC, CAEL, CPE and CAE via conversion. Digital Business Management M.Sc. requires English B2. Always check the individual programme page.

Winter semester 2026/27 runs 1 September 2026 to 28 February 2027; general lectures begin 5 October 2026, first-semester lectures in Design/Engineering/Business & Law begin 6 October, and the last lecture day is 22 January 2027. Summer semester 2027 runs 1 March to 31 August 2027; general lectures begin 15 March, first-semester lectures begin 17 March, and the last lecture day is 25 June 2027.
