How much does Psychologische Hochschule Berlin (PHB) cost for international students?

PHB is a private university and charges monthly tuition, but only for the standard period of study. If you need longer, only an administrative fee applies. No separate rates for non-EU students are published.

No semester ticket is included. The fees are listed on the programme pages without a validity year (the Clinical Psychology fee is dated December 2025), so confirm the current amounts with PHB.

Tuition fees do not replace the proof of funds. For the student visa you still need to show 11,904 EUR for the year, usually in a blocked account, on top of the tuition you pay the university.

What are the application deadlines?

PHB does not publish a closing date. Applications for the year group starting in winter 2027/28 can be submitted from 1 October 2026, and places are allocated until the programme is full. You apply through PHB's own online form; you then receive the admission requirements by email and access to the application portal. PHB does not use uni-assist.

If you need a student visa, apply as early as possible and confirm with the study advice team (studienberatung@phb.de) how your foreign school-leaving certificate or degree is recognised and which German certificates are accepted.

How many programmes are taught in English?

No programme at PHB is taught in English; teaching and exams are in German, and applicants from abroad need German at C1 level. Ask the study advice team (studienberatung@phb.de) which German certificates are accepted.

Three degree programmes can be studied full time: the Bachelor in Psychology (B.Sc.) and the Master's programmes in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (M.Sc.) and Legal Psychology (M.Sc.), which can also be combined as a double Master.
