How much does RPTU University of Kaiserslautern-Landau cost for international students?
RPTU is a state university and charges no tuition fees for Bachelor's and consecutive Master's programmes, for EU and non-EU students alike. Every student pays the semester contribution, which depends on the campus.

Distance-learning Master's charge their own fees and are not a route to a student visa. No tuition does not mean no proof of funds: for the student visa you still need to show 11,904 EUR for the year, usually in a blocked account, and that money has to be transferred months before the semester starts.
What are the application deadlines?
Kaiserslautern and Landau use different application routes. In Kaiserslautern you apply in the RPTU portal and pay a 60 EUR certificate evaluation fee; in Landau your certificates are checked by uni-assist. Applicants from China, Vietnam and India need an APS certificate.

Applications must reach RPTU by the deadline; late applications are not considered. Apply early so there is time for the certificate check and the visa.
How many programmes are taught in English?
RPTU offers 16 Master's programmes taught in English on campus; there is no English-taught Bachelor's.
Kaiserslautern (12): Biology, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Embedded Computing Systems, Automation and Control, Mathematics International, Actuarial and Financial Mathematics, Mathematics for Technology and Data Science, Digital Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering for Industrial Systems, Advanced Quantum Physics and Commercial Vehicle Technology (all M.Sc.).
Landau (4): Environmental Pollution Management (Ecotoxicology), Environmental Sciences, Environmental Challenges and Human Responses, and Human Resource Management & Organizational Behavior (all M.Sc.).
Three further English Master's (Software Engineering for Embedded Systems, Financial Engineering, Quantum Technologies) are distance-learning programmes, which do not support a student visa.

RPTU University of Kaiserslautern-Landau is a public research university in Rhineland-Palatinate with two campuses, in Kaiserslautern and in Landau in der Pfalz. It was formed on 1 January 2023 by merging the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, founded in 1970, with the Landau campus of the University of Koblenz-Landau.
Kaiserslautern focuses on engineering, computer science, mathematics and natural sciences; Landau on education, psychology, environmental sciences and the humanities. About 3,200 of RPTU's students are international.
