How much does SRH Distance Learning University – The Mobile University cost for international students?
SRH Distance Learning University charges monthly tuition, and the fees are the same for all students. Where you live decides which payment plans you can book: residents outside the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein and the UK can only book the Flex 1 plan, not the cheaper long-term Flex 2 and Flex 3 plans. The prices below already include SRH's 1,500 EUR bonus.

No separate registration or exam fees are listed. There is no semester contribution and no Deutschlandticket. The Baden-Württemberg fee of 1,500 EUR per semester for non-EU students applies only at public universities; SRH sets its own fees. The tuition page carries no validity date, so confirm the current prices with the university.
A German student visa requires a degree programme that has to be studied in Germany, and programmes that can be completed online generally do not qualify (Administrative Court Berlin, 28 November 2025, 11 K 175/25). If you do come to Germany on a student visa for another programme, you need proof of funds of 11,904 EUR for the year, usually in a blocked account.
What are the application deadlines?
There is no application deadline. You can start at the beginning of any month, and your complete application must reach the university at least 14 days before your chosen start date. You register directly with the university, not via uni-assist.

Bachelor's applicants need a German school-leaving qualification or an equivalent foreign one. English-taught programmes require English at CEFR B1 and no German; German-taught programmes require TestDaF level 3 in each part, Goethe B2 or telc B2.
How many programmes are taught in English?
Five distance-learning programmes are taught in English:

- Industrial Engineering (B.Sc.)
- Design Management (M.A.)
- UX & Service Design (M.A.)
- Global Business Administration (MBA)
The Master's and the MBA can be studied in 60, 90 or 120 ECTS versions. All programmes are studied online, so they are generally not suitable for a German student visa. The German site offers a much larger range of German-taught programmes.
About SRH Distance Learning University – The Mobile University
SRH Distance Learning University – The Mobile University (SRH Fernhochschule) is a private, state-recognised distance-learning university of applied sciences based in Riedlingen, Baden-Württemberg, founded in 1996. It belongs to the non-profit SRH group but remained a separate institution when other SRH universities merged into SRH University in 2024.
Students learn on an online campus with digital study materials, with optional classes and exams at 29 sites. It offers online Bachelor's, Master's and MBA programmes, most of them in German and a smaller range in English.
