How much does Technical University of Applied Sciences Ingolstadt cost for international students?

Students from outside the EU and EEA who start their studies from summer 2026 pay tuition fees for the whole programme. THI charges them under the Bavarian Higher Education Innovation Act, and paying them is a condition of enrolment. EU and EEA citizens and persons of equal status to Germans pay no tuition. The MBA programmes charge their own, higher fees.

Bachelor's, non-EU800 EUR per semester
Master's, EU/EEANo tuition fees

The student union fee does not include a Deutschlandticket; in Bavaria students can buy a discounted ticket separately.

The tuition fee is separate from the proof of funds. For the student visa you also need to show 11,904 EUR for the year, usually in a blocked account, and that money has to be transferred months before the semester starts.

What are the application deadlines?

THI publishes one set of dates for all applicants, with no separate non-EU deadline, and dates vary by programme. Applicants with a foreign school certificate also need a preliminary review documentation (VPD) from uni-assist, which takes four to six weeks, and applicants from countries with an APS requirement must submit the original APS certificate to uni-assist.
