How much does University of Applied Management (FHAM) cost for international students?
The University of Applied Management is a private university, so every programme charges tuition, for EU and non-EU students alike. In the Studium Plus model, which you take alongside a job, you pay monthly. In the Dual Plus model, a partner company pays the tuition and also pays you a salary.
| Item | Cost for international students |
|---|---|
| Bachelor (Studium Plus) | 495 EUR per month (2,970 EUR per semester) |
| Master, 90 ECTS (Studium Plus) | About 595 EUR per month (3,570 EUR per semester) |
| Bachelor and Master (Dual Plus) | Paid by the partner company |
| Semester contribution | None |
The Bachelor's fee is from the university's programme pages (2026); the Master's fee is from a third-party study portal, so confirm it with the university. There is no semester contribution and no transport ticket. An older version of the general study conditions also lists a one-time registration fee; ask the university whether it still applies.
A German student visa requires a degree programme that you study full-time in Germany with regular attendance. Studium Plus is part-time and mostly online, and Dual Plus depends on a German employment contract, so neither qualifies you for a student visa (see also Administrative Court Berlin, 28 November 2025, 11 K 175/25). If you come to Germany on a student visa for another programme, you need proof of funds of 11,904 EUR for the year, usually in a blocked account.
What are the application deadlines?
You apply directly to the university. Most programmes start in winter and summer.
| Degree | Intake | Deadline |
|---|---|---|
| Bachelor and Master | Winter | Usually 10 September |
| Bachelor and Master | Summer | Usually 10 March |
The dates come from a third-party study portal, because the university's own pages publish none, so confirm them with the university. Some Bachelor's programmes start in winter only. For Dual Plus you also need a partner company.
How many programmes are taught in English?
No English-taught degree programme is published. The Bachelor's and Master's programmes are taught in German; some Master's modules may be in English.
Because the programmes are part-time and largely online (Studium Plus) or require a German employment contract (Dual Plus), none of them is suitable for a student visa.
About University of Applied Management (FHAM)
The University of Applied Management is a private, state-recognised university of applied sciences, founded in 2004 in Erding as Fachhochschule für angewandtes Management and now called Hochschule für angewandtes Management. Its seat moved to Teltow, Brandenburg, in 2026, and it runs study centres in many German cities and in Vienna.
It offers two study models. In Studium Plus you study alongside a job, mostly online with about ten on-site workshops per semester. In Dual Plus you work up to 32 hours a week at a partner company, which pays your tuition and a salary. A German student visa normally requires a full-time degree programme with regular attendance in Germany, so neither model is a route to a student visa.
