Most regular Bachelor's and Master's programmes do not have tuition fees. Students instead pay the applicable semester contribution. Some programmes are fee-based.

The Campus Emden and Maritime Campus Leer semester contribution includes the semester ticket. Visa proof-of-funds requirements are separate from university tuition and semester charges.

University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer is a public university of applied sciences in north-west Lower Saxony with study locations in Emden and Leer. The institution states that it was newly founded in 2009 and traces its first foundation to 1973 as Fachhochschule Ostfriesland.
