How much does University of Vechta cost for international students?
The University of Vechta charges no tuition fees for Bachelor's or Master's programmes, for international students as for everyone else. Under Lower Saxony law, each student has a study credit of the standard period of study plus six semesters; once it is used up, a long-term study fee of 500 EUR per semester is charged on top of the semester contribution.
Every student pays the semester contribution before enrolment or re-registration. The latest figure the university publishes is 363.96 EUR for winter 2024/25: 195.96 EUR for the student body (of which 177.90 EUR for the semester ticket), 93 EUR for the Studentenwerk Osnabrück and 75 EUR administration fee. Since winter 2024/25 the ticket is the nationwide Deutschlandsemesterticket. The ticket price has risen since then, so the current total is higher; confirm the amount with the university.
