How much does Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg cost for international students?
The university's costs page for international degree students states: "There are no tuition fees at the University of Würzburg." The page makes no distinction between EU and non-EU students.
Every student pays the semester contribution of 182.10 EUR from winter 2026/27: 110.10 EUR for the semester ticket and 72 EUR for the Studierendenwerk. The semester ticket is a regional solidarity ticket, valid in the city of Würzburg and the districts of Würzburg, Kitzingen and Main-Spessart; it is not a Deutschlandticket. A student referendum in 2026 proposed extending its validity to the whole NVM transport area.
