How much does Vinzenz Pallotti University cost for international students?
Important for visa applicants: most programmes outside theology are part-time blended or distance study with only a few on-campus weeks or days per semester. A distance or blended programme generally does not qualify for a German student visa, which requires full-time study with attendance in Germany (Administrative Court Berlin, 28 November 2025, 11 K 175/25).
Vinzenz Pallotti University is church-run and state-recognised, not a state university, so most programmes charge a monthly tuition fee set per programme in the study contract. The same fees apply to all applicants. The Magister Theologiae charges no tuition fee. There is no separate semester contribution in the fee-paying programmes: the fee includes the student body contribution, and there is no semester ticket. One-off enrolment or examination fees may apply under a fee schedule that is not published online, so ask the university.
| Item | Cost for international students |

| Semester fee, Magister Theologiae | 100 EUR (95 EUR administration fee + 5 EUR student fund; figure from 2024, confirm with the university) |
| Semester contribution, fee-paying programmes | None separate, no semester ticket |
For your visa you also need proof of funds of 11,904 EUR for the year (2026, Federal Foreign Office), usually in a blocked account.
What are the application deadlines?
| Degree | Intake | Deadline (non-EU) |
|---|---|---|
| Theology B.A. and most Master's programmes | Winter (1 October) / summer (1 April) | No fixed deadline, applications accepted at any time |

The university publishes one set of dates for all applicants. You apply directly to the university by post or email; uni-assist is not used. Admission is decided per programme through a study contract, a check of your qualifications and, depending on the programme, an interview or aptitude test. If you need a student visa, apply early and confirm with the student advisory service that your programme is suitable.
How many programmes are taught in English?
Vinzenz Pallotti University offers no programmes taught in English. Applicants with a foreign qualification must prove German proficiency.
It offers 9 German-taught degree programmes: the Bachelor's in Theology and Psychology, six Master's programmes (Coaching, Sustainable Leadership, Corporate Management and Ethics, Psychology, Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, and Intercultural Studies in Religion and Society) and the Magister Theologiae.
