How much does Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences cost for international students?
HSWT charges no tuition fees for its regular Bachelor's and Master's programmes, for EU and non-EU students alike. Bavarian law allows each university to charge students from outside the EU, but HSWT has not introduced such a fee. The one exception is the International Master of Landscape Architecture, run jointly with Nürtingen-Geislingen University in Baden-Württemberg, where non-EU nationals pay 750 EUR per semester; confirm the amount with Nürtingen-Geislingen University, where students enrol.
The semester contribution for winter 2026/27 is 97 EUR at campus Weihenstephan (Freising) and 82 EUR at campus Triesdorf. It is the Studierendenwerk fee only and does not include a Deutschlandticket; students can buy the discounted student Deutschlandticket separately. Applicants with foreign qualifications also pay the uni-assist handling fee for the VPD.
