How much does Wismar University of Applied Sciences cost for international students?

Hochschule Wismar charges no tuition fees for its on-campus Bachelor's and Master's programmes, and makes no separate rule for non-EU students. The exception is continuing education: the part-time distance programmes run through its subsidiary WINGS are fee-based and priced per programme, for example the Master Lighting Design at 4,900 EUR per semester. These distance programmes are separate from the tuition-free on-campus Master's, and part-time distance study generally does not qualify for a student visa.

The semester contribution for winter 2026/27 depends on the campus. In Wismar it is 147.50 EUR at first enrolment and 123 EUR at re-registration (109 EUR Studierendenwerk, 10 EUR student body, the enrolment or re-registration fee, and 15 EUR for the student ID at first enrolment); it does not include a Deutschlandticket. At Rostock-Warnemünde it is 379.30 EUR at first enrolment and 354.80 EUR at re-registration, including 226.80 EUR for the Deutschlandticket and 5 EUR for a culture ticket.
