How much does Zeppelin University cost for international students?
Zeppelin University (ZU) is a private, state-recognised university, so it charges its own tuition fees, set per programme and the same for German and international students. The Baden-Württemberg fee of 1,500 EUR per semester for non-EU students applies to state universities only and is not charged here. Fees are paid per semester (in January and September) or in monthly instalments with a small surcharge; a one-off payment of the full amount is not possible. ZU does not state a validity date for its fee table, so please confirm the current amounts with ZU before you apply. Scholarships can reduce the tuition fee.

ZU admits on a rolling basis: you apply online through the ZU Application Portal up to three semesters in advance and choose an assessment centre date; each date has its own application deadline, and you receive the result within 2 days. One set of dates applies to all applicants, and there is no restricted admission (NC). Bachelor's programmes start in the fall and in the spring; the two English-taught Master's programmes start in the fall (September) only, according to their programme pages, so check the programme page for your intake. Non-EU certificates are checked by uni-assist for equivalence. ZU says visa processing can take up to a year depending on the country, so if you need a visa, apply for one of the earliest assessment centre dates.
How many programmes are taught in English?
2 English-taught Master's programmes:
- International Relations & Global Politics (MA), 1-year or 2-year
- Corporate Management & Economics (M.Sc.), 1-year or 2-year
Both start in the fall and require very good English (C1), which is tested at the assessment centre; German is desirable but not required. ZU's Bachelor's programmes and the other Master's programmes are taught mainly in German (only 20 to 35 percent of Bachelor's seminars are in English), and non-native speakers need German at C1.
